My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

That's the one! I thought the ending was spectacular and proof that films don't always need good scripts... Just plenty of action. Personally I like a good storyline, but action is good enough.
As for Ong Bak - amazing martial arts sequences in that film, showing that Muy Thai is something special.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso

I recently saw a good documentary-type movie called "Blacklist." In it, different people discuss aspects of what it is like to be black, and a whole bunch of other topics. It's everybody from Toni Morrison to Chris Rock . . . dancers, politicians, nurses, artists, etc.

It took me a couple of days to watch both DVD's of Once Upon a Time in America. I guess I will have to watch the Director's Cut someday because it seems like a lot was left out, making the movie somewhat confusing.

I have been looking for " The Dragon's Kiss " since it was mentioned in this thread but I have not found it. I just saw Jet Li and Jackie Chan in " The Forbidden Kingdom " great camera work, special effects, and combat sequences.

The best movie was the Dark Night and this is totally unbiased!

Heath Ledger in the role of Joker was just sensational, he even outperformed the great Jack Nicholson, in my opinion.
(although it may have to do with the whole feeling the two directors tried to give).
It's a shame Heath Ledger died afterwards...

Well today was certainly strange. I went looking for Kiss of the Dragon at J&R in Manhattan but they did not have it. Broadway was too crowded so I took to the back streets to get to the ferry terminal. At the New York Stock Exchange there were TV cameras everywhere. They looked like vultures waiting for someone to jump out of a window.
I found a Kiss of a Dragon at the video rental store and I just got through watching it. It was definitely an action packed movie.Linux registered user # 414321

I reluctantly watched Gone Baby Gone the other night expecting to see an overblown action flick but I was pleasantly surprised. The plot is simple yet its themes are very powerful. Ben Affleck's brother does a nice job as the main character; I didn't think the annoying brother from Ocean's Eleven could actually act.
