Smile Hello

Hello,
Another newbie here just wanted to introduce myself. I first heard of linux around '98 and tried peanut linux, that didn't go well, and I gave up in short order. Then a couple of years ago I tried again with suse and ubuntu, things went a lot better but I was never able to get sound working , and I gave up. Then about a month ago xp died , so I did some reading , tried puppy and damn small, and got excited when the sound worked out of the box. So a bit more reading and I got a debian etch netinst iso, and did the install with desktop on the primary machine and a minimal install on the basher machine. Pretty painless. I have much to learn about command stuff , but I can move around the file system and look at docs. I figured out how to browse them with lynx or other browser. After I do a bit more reading want to network the two machines, and maybe set up a mirror or at least start broadcasting some iso torrents. Glad to be here , I think I'm done with microglomorate for good.
