Entity Relationship Model - PLEASE HELP!

    ERM Excercise - Hardware Inventory

My Database assigment is as follows :

Design an Entity Relationship Model for the computing department within the college. The manager of the department wants a database which will hold the following information :

The manager needs to know what hardware is held in each classroom. He needs to keep a log of any errors within a specific peice of hardware. He wants to know when it was fixed, who has fixed it and who reported it, he also wants to know when the problem is closed off. It could be either a lecturer or a student who reports the problem. Each individual piece of hardware is individually bar coded.

He wants to keep details of each of the employees in the computing department, including the skills each employee has (hardware, software, network, trainer, web developer). He would also like to keep track of what the employee is doing on a day to day basis. Each employee is assigned to several projects and he needs to know what time has been spent on each project and also when they have been working on a project.

Please can somebody out there help me with this. I am really stuck

Talk to your lecturer. That's what they are there for! Homework
    questions are usually frowned upon.

    Having said that

Start by looking for things for example Classroom. These will
become your tables. Then look for attributes. These will become
your fields (example status - from closed off).

Then look at relationships. Example Classroom has one or more
    pieces of equipment.
If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
