    ftp server

I just got a new(used) 20 gig drive from a windows puter that im trashing and dont have a use for it. I was thinking of running a ftp server and letting people fill up the drive. Would anyone use it and what for? I have a 3000kbit/s down and 416kbit/s up stream dsl connection. Would that be good enough?

you won't have problem to set it up.although you have to give users that will try to connect via ftp the right permissions in order not to take control of your system.you should "trap" them into specific folder and make them have the appropriate commands available to run...
