    Petition Watching for a Diversion

I can't say why exactly, but watching the number of signatures on this petition go up is entertaining me today. If you haven't heard of Uwe Boll, you might not understand why so many people are so much in favor of him quitting the movie business. Even so, it's kind of funny.

    Stop Dr. Uwe Boll Petition

::EDIT:: For some further explanation, an article in Joystiq mentions that in a recent Boll interview he made an off-hand comment that if the poll reached one million signatures, he'd consider it.

As of 11:44am CST it's up to 51,757 signatures. Haha. Anyone want to estimate how many it will hit before it tapers off?

He has a reputation for making relatively high-budget flops based on videogame franchises. Some of the ones I can think of off the top of my head are:

    House of the Dead
    Bloodrayne
    Postal
    Dungeon Siege

He's done more.. I just tend to avoid them, particularly if I'm actually fond of the game involved.

Posting is starting to slow down. Yesterday I clocked it at an average of 5 signatures a second. Today it's only up to 108,392 as of 12:51pm CST. If I were to wager, I'd say I think it's going to taper off at about 150,000.

Haha. I'm curious about this myself. He's known for having a big mouth, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just shrugged it off. However it will be interesting to watch the whole thing unfold.

Nothing to do with me and none of my business. So I signed.
