Firefox Tips & Tweaks
Just wanted to share a couple of tips that I've run across in the last few days while trying to customize Firefox.
Many of you might already know about both these options, but for those that don't:
I often found myself clearing my browsing history because I like to keep the location bar history relatively cleaned out. Rather than totally clearing browser history and loosing any locations that you might want to keep, you can click on the location bar arrow, scroll down to any previous address that you don't want so that it's highlighted, and then press the delete key to remove it.
If you get tired of the balloons that pop up on the forums when you run your mouse over thread titles, you can open up a new tab, then enter about:config in the location bar, then enter toolbar into the filter, then double-click on the browser.chrome.toolbar_tips entry to toggle it to false, which will stop the sometimes annoying balloons.
Do any of the rest of you have any tips or tweaks you can share?oz

If you get insanely annoyed when clicking the middle mouse button brings up a seemingly random page, open up about:config and set middlemouse.contentLoadURL to false. I just can't stand that, I accidentally hit mouse button somewhat often, so when they do stuff like that it makes me quite angry.

Good tweak, oz. Thanks! Now, do you know how to turn off the context ads that pop up from the green text?

As far as the pop-up adds that you're talking about, I just started using 'No-Script'. Nice little add-on for Firefox.
