Yeah... and I don't think you would have to worry about frame-rate issues

Interesting... I like fast. A new first for water-cooling too. Seems IBM has been putting their R&D to good use. Here's the one I would like though. Too bad my office isn't big enough.

In this case, you can be sure about that, provided that someone will let you touch that shinny machine to let you do that

But clock speed is not *always* determining factor, overall if we compare different architectures. The most simple example is how a 2000mhz cpu (let's say, athlon) can have problems to play a playstation videogame (the ps core works at 33mhz only).

1:by God I hope not
2:I'm sure it can, but it'd still be slow as ...well, Vista.
3:don't you have to have a new/separate license for more than a few processors? You'd have to spend a fortune just buying the rights to use the blasted thing... (as if anyone would bother).
4:The real question is, will it run WINE? (morrowind...)

I read about this server on OSNews yesterday and was thinking this is what we need to run CATIA/ENOVIA (the 3D modeling software + configuration manager). The company I work for uses CATIA and that thing is insane with the CPU and RAM usage. They were using Calma which ran on old HP-UX based computers. According to out engineering department "not even the most powerful 64-bit comptuers can handle effectivity" with the amount of parts we deal with. I'll have to make sure i mention it to my boss, then he'll have a heart attack.
