Directions needed to start with Linux

    Hello everyone,
I am from France. Tomorrow I am starting a training program to become a Technician in assisting people with their computers troubles, and also I will learn about Network that I am not very familiar with. I know that Linus/Unix is the OS for the networking. I hope I am not making any mistakes here. So I am a beginner with Linux. I would like some directions or ideas on what to do to start learning Linux. I can read english so I would like to know what to start with. I want to know from the beginning and not in the middle to get confused.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Emmanuel.

I just found this in another thread. It's the best guide to Linux that I've read in a long time.
