    Hi

    Hi everyone

The last time I worked on Linux (or should I say Unix) was like 25 years ago. However I must say I enjoyed it even though the commands were very painful to remember.

Windows took away the pleasure of creation by giving me things are easy to use. However, as all bosses wants to have systems up and running fast and quick and also easy to support (even though it shuts down more often than any other operating systems), I shifted to Windows and have been working on it for the last 20 odd years.

So, now that I am retired and have time to catch up on things that I like, I am back to Linux and must say that there has been so much changes. So, I am hoping that all of you will help me as I am extremely stuck now and then.

    Cheers

I've made a thread for your question about permissions. It can be found here:

    http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...-question.html

We encourage actual questions to be asked in the forum proper (in an appropriate section). The Coffee Lounge is just for general hanging out.
