    I could not remember if I had updated or not. A check of my email revealed that on wed. jan 2, 2008 the Linux counter sent me an email where all I had to do was click a link ( that was valid for a week ).

    Yes, I get those too; I think they're sent out automatically when your membership is about to lapse. And a good thing! Why should we have to remember to log on? I thought we had computers to do that kind of donkey work for us.
