    Thanks for the review link.

    First off, Pogo is Windows-only, and AT&T makes no indication that it will be available for the Mac anytime soon (or ever).
    I guess that answers the question for Linux users, too.

    IANAL, but won't that mean that a lot of this will be infected by the GPL, which means that it should be possible to get your hands on the source code?

    cant you get different licenses for different parts of the programn?
    if so all they would have to give out the source code for only the firefox base not all the extra features.

    I read that Ars article a few days ago and I can only think: "Oh my, if all programs are going to require this many resources in a few years, my laptop will only work to run something like notepad or gedit".

    There's eye candy and then there is just useless and nonfunctional. To me, the Pogo browser crosses that line into the nonfunctional.

    Well Firefox isn't GPL'd, it's under the Mozilla Public Licence so it's not an issue. It is more permissive to this type of development as far as I am aware.
