I have not configured it to to monitor everything your requesting, such as engery efficiency and power consumption. but can be used to run SNMP commands to UPS's and the like.
sorry if this is off base with your request

    Satimis,
Two of the largest, most established protocols for integrated building controls systems, are BACNet and LonWorks. There is a fair sized library of open source applications available for each of them. BACNet is not GPL, but it is free. It's the property of ASHRAE. A small maintenance fee is charged for the documentation. BACNet is an ANSI/ISO standard, as is LonWorks. LonWorks is also a subset of BACNet. You can learn more at ashrae.org and the Echelon Corp. website. A web search using various permutations of BACNet, LonWorks, linux, open source, ASHRAE, and Echelon will probably pull up enough info to keep you busy for a while.

Let me know if I can be of further help. You can pm me by right-clicking on my screen name and hitting the link on my profile page. Good luck!

    Hi robertmcol and questio verum,

Thanks for your advice. You're leading me to the right direction.

I'm doing a GreenComputing project bracketing, networking monitoring (including DataCenter network as well as firefighting network), Virtualizaion, CAD fluid modelling, etc.. to analyse the power efficiency.
