Call me a Noob! I just installed this rocking 8.04 UBUNTU OS and sorted out my display and audio problems and within 5 hours of installation I am doing almost everything that I did with my Windows XP! (Except playing America's Army, for which I am looking out for a Linux version to install)
I did not have any connection issues, they were sorted out effortlessly by UBUNTU and whatever Display issues I had were sorted when I installed the NVIDIA-GLX-NEW driver, and it was more fun after I got my sound card support working fine too! WHooah!

Congratulations. Good to hear you got (most) everything working. There was an official Linux version of America's Army at some point in the past, but if I'm not mistaken it was discontinued.

Thanks! Yes I too had heard of that version which was working good with WINE but because this game uses a strict policy implemented through "punkbuster" which is not supported by LINUX, therefore I guess they discontinued developing LINUX versions of the game? That version worked only on servers that did not enforce the use of "punkbuster".
