    Introduction

    Hi all,

My name is Ronnie Smith. I'm new at this forum and sort of new at Linux. I have some UNIX training, however, Linux is a wee-bit different. But I have been a geek since Moby Dick was a minnow.

I work in the oil and gas industry and would like to see more companies use Linux instead of Microsoft "Wista". ("Wista loaded something else".)

I've had my fair share of learning lumps and bumps. And I'm still learning. Any help you guys can give me along the way will be much appreciated.

I've come to discover that there are many wonderful people in the Linux world and I'm glad to make the jump from Microsoft.

    Ronnie
