Hi everyone in the Linux world. I have just installed Ubuntu on my laptop and FINALLY got my wireless card working. Does anyone have any good books or tutorials to recommend. Ones to so show from how to set up an email to downloading and installing applications. I would like to view these during times when I am Offline.

    Welcome to the forums!

Glad you are having fun with Linux. For installing software with Ubuntu, I recommend using Synaptic. You should find it in your menu already, maybe under System.

This is a site that was posted a little while ago on the forums might be usefull for you.

Also there are books out there that should be quite good. O'rielly has one for people begginning with linux and also Linux for dummings wouldn't be a bad start if you are willing to purchase books.

Only other thing I could think of would be looking through the documentation on the Ubuntu site for distro specific help.

    True That is!
The Ubuntu forums has a ton of useful information. I sometimes use their forum for problems unrelated to Ubuntu.
I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
