    Hello Everyone!

My name is Amor and I just got my eeepc notebook last week with Linux OS.
Since I am more familiar with windows OS, I really started from the scratch using Linux. Can somebody help me how can I download programs such as yahoo messenger, limewire and etc. since until now I still could'nt figure out how to download those?

Hope to hear from you soon. I will really appreciate your help!

    Thanks much!

From what I understand with the EEEPC, it comes with yahoo messenger built in.

It should be under internet and messenger. You can select the different services to use.
    Its called pidgin.

ASUS | Eee PC Select internet. Its the 3rd thing that it shows you.

Might be a bit easier then trying to get Yahoo messenger installed esp if your very new to linux

    Welcome to the forums cameron17,
I think you, as a new user, should only use software that is available in your package manager (Until you feel comfortable with Linux), which is also located in the Desktop menu somewhere, it's probably called Package Updater and maybe even Apt-Get. Do post back if you have more problems.
EDIT: I did some searching and found out that the EEE PC uses Xandros Linux and Synaptic Package Manager, so that's where to find and install most of your software from, probably including Limewire.
