New to Linux
Hi,
I'm new to linux. I've decided to try it out and see what the fuss is all about. So far its pretty cool and I enjoy it alot, but my sound isn't working. After I get past this, I think I'll be able to enjoy it even more.

Right now I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, that is when I'm using Linux, but for the most part I still use windows.

I'm a newbie like yourself but my only advice at the moment is Google will quickly become your friend lol.

Oh yeah, google is already my best friend. I use it for physics, chemistry, and mathematics all the time.
