    Hi Guys,

I am a Linux dummy! I have a very simple question (so simple that please pardon my ignorance on the subject ):

There is a TCL file (say, file.tcl) on a Linux PC. I need to copy that file on to a CD and then transfer it to another Linux PC, and finally rename it on the destination PC as file1.tcl. How do I do that?

    Thanks!!!

    Is this a homework question?

Most users would just use burning software such as K3b or Gnomebaker to burn it to disc. Actually if it's as small as a tcl file (generally only a few MB at most right?) I'd consider sending it over the network via scp or similar.
