Hello, I'm a new guy.
Would just like to say hello to everyone here "Hi"
I have only just made the move from Windows to Linux ands its all crazy and scary, I don't have a clue how to config anything. If someone could point me to a guide, just for the simple thing, that would be great. I don't even know how to check drivers :s
Any help would be great Thanks
Oh yea, I'm on Ubuntu.

Welcome to the forums!
I don't think there is any generic guide available that works for every distribution. Tell us what distro you are using and maybe we can provide some links to good guides. You can usually find some documentation on the official website for your distribution.
Hope Linux turns out to be fun for you.
Edit: oops, just saw the ubuntu entry. Let me find the link and I'll be back.
...here you go:
Ubuntu:Hardy -oz

Also have a look at the Linux Newbie section and All New Users Read This sticky at the top.
Has alot of good info on installing and getting to know linux.
Ubuntu is a good distro for people that are new to linux, it also has a very large forum of its own with good support.
Hope you enjoy it.

Hi, Dextrous69!
Ubuntu is a great choice to learn with! Ozar & Geeth had some good suggestions with the links they mentioned. Also, don't forget about <Linux> - Google Search.
Have fun, and post if you have any questions!Jay
