    Need Puppy Linux help.

Long story short, a few months ago I had problems with my Hard drive, someone told me to download Puppy Linux and work from there to fix it. And it work.

So now I am having a similar problem but I can't load Puppy. I tried the CD I already had, (version 3.01) but I kept getting stuck on one of the load screens. So I download 4.0 and this time it makes it past that load screen that 3.01 got stuck on, but it gets stuck on another load screen and wont do anything. I really know nothing about Linux and am just trying to use Puppy to fix my HD.

start with finding memtest to test your ram and see if you have a memory stick that is bad. Those live CD type distros have problems loading on a bad stick.

get the free download iso which you can run upon boot in a live environment Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic
