can't remember which site now i've read loads and on linux,trying to get a good alround picture first befor i comit, and a few of them have said that it's unhackable?
but i can see why a hacker would not want to bother with it being free noting to gain, plus i bet half the hacker helped with linux, lol
plus i'm boared and wanted to talk about somthing.

No it's plenty hackable. Just like any system is and likely will be. Even if every conceivable security hole was closed you are still in a position where you'd have to close off internet connection and block humans from having any control over the system.
Less hackable perhaps.

Yes there are millions of hackers working on GNU/Linux daily.
That said, a hacker is one who programs enthusiastically (even obsessively) or who enjoys programming and solving programming problems rather than just theorizing about programming.
Linus Torvalds the originial creator of the Linux kernel is a hacker and so is Eric. S Raymond and a lot of others.
I wouldn't ever say Linux is totally immune to intrusions. In fact I believe any system that has a connection to another suffers a risk of being intruded no matter what security measures are taken. Software is created by human beings and can in many cases be "cracked" (correct term) by human beings.
