Dual Athlon Boards.
Does anyone out there have a Dual AMD Athlon mobo? I am thinking about getting one with an average speed Athlon MP CPU to start with as an upgrade for my pc, then when the CPU begins to get slow, i can just buy an extra Athlon MP CPU to effectively double the speed, If anyone has a board, what is it? Do u think it's good? If they are worth it, where's the best place to get one in the UK? I have looked on ebuyer, all their dual CPU boards are Xeon processors, and can't find any on Dabs.com. Does anyone know of any reliable shops?

Hi sdousley,

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but...

As far as I know if your not using your computer as a server, by adding another CPU you will see only a 10 -20% increase in speed.

ah, ok! I have been speaking with a friend since posting actually, and he's suggested getting a 64-bit mobo because of the cost of multiple processors etc.
