I don't know much about running Wine on the
eee, although I do have good hopes for you. The Linux distro you probably have on the eee is Xandros.
But whether your MS apps will work is questionable. Some do, some don't. There is a bit of luck involved. Which apps are we talking about? There are comprehensive lists of Linux alternatives for Windows applications, and if it is a database you depend on for your job, then maybe all you need is a different (native GNU/Linux) frontend. But I dunno... I'm just guessing

Many of us run Linux because we feel it's better than any other availale operating system. How 'better' is quantified depends on the discretion and humour of the individual. <=Did
