Radiotubes. Mmmmm. I like EL34's and ECC83's. I wouldn't have my Marshall without them...are you a guitar man yourself, or is it for valve radios?

Vintage hi-fi and radio equipment. My avatar is a directly heated triode as you would see in most the pre-ac (filament) operated vacuum tubes. I understand now after years of experience why the european tubes (from the european designations you gave) are coveted for hi-fi and musical instrument applications.
To tie this into the -sort of- theme of this thread: The european term for vacuum tube is "valve". Here in the ' States we just call them "tubes". Valve is probably a better term as it gives a better indication of the devices function.

Yeah they're just as highly prized in the guitar world
I like to give Eurotubes my business when I'm shopping. Odd that I should buy tubes that have gone from Europe to the States to bring them back to Europe
