I am sure Lordshooter will be back under another alias to tell you how "impossible" this is...

    I am surprised as well...

Whoah. I always hoped that he didn't really do it and was just unfortunate. But now I guess it's settled. This is crazy reading for a monday morning.

I've said all along I didn't know whether he did it or not, I just think it's deplorable that a man (guilty or not) can be convicted on circumstantial evidence alone.

Now, if he leads them to the body, that's pretty damning evidence. In that case, the conviction was warranted. However I still think the jurors should have waited until there was a body before passing judgment.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but why would the sentence be decreased if he lead them to the body? If anything, that would incriminate someone further. The American legal system is weird.

It really is. you can make some strange deals with the police and judges and whatnot.

Like they can catch someone with drugs but let him off scotch free if he helps them take down the dealer who sold him the drugs. in someways the above works but in others in pretty much just wrong.
Microsoft isn't evil, they just make really crappy operating systems.

IMHO,American legal system is really good one.
I'm in india worlds largest Democratic country...I bet you ,if reiser case carried out here in indian court , It'll take atleast another 10-12 years to give
verdict on lower-level courts ..then the accused will move to superme court ...Me & my friends really love the way US courts work.

    Code:
However I still think the jurors should have waited until there was a body before passing judgment
Thought i felt the same ....It
Looks like Judges did a little trick here...convict Reiser first on circumstantial evidence ... only then he will show the body to reduce this sentence.

    Anyway Great Job Done

I think it's insane somebody who committed a severe crime like murder can actually reduce his sentence by simply telling where he dumped the body....

How can something that simple take years of a sentence ?
Showing a body doesn't take away the very simple fact that he killed somebody...so why take years off his sentence then ?

As for the legal system...everything is better than here in Holland.
Here if you kill somebody you probably get 5-10 years in jail, if it can even be called a jail...looks more like an hotel to me o_O
