    Welcome, Kev! Advice: download the Ubuntu Live CD or Knoppix and give it a go. It's the easy way to give linux a try without messing up your current setup.

    Thanks for the reply, I`ve already tried Ubuntu seems ok. I`ve got PCLOS ready to put on my PC, already got XP just not 100% sure how to go about it.
    Got a 250 gig HD C: is 160 gig also have partition J: 90 gig this has back up of system and other important stuff music etc.
    Wanted to partion C: into 90 for XP and use 70gig for PCLOS.
    I`ll have to do a bit of research me thinks.
