What would YOU ask?
Here's a journalist looking for a sanity check... or at least inspiration.
I'll be meeting this week with Jim Zemlin, the executive director of The Linux Foundation. If you had a half hour with the guy, what questions would you ask?
I'll also be meeting Paul Cormier, Red Hat Executive Vice President and President, Products and Technologies. Tell me what you'd ask him if you found yourself sitting next to him on a plane trip.
Public or private responses are welcome!

From his perspective, what are the largest impediments to linux developers having open access to source code for hardware drivers (aside from apathy, avarice, collusion, and coercion); and does he think this will ever be corrected? If yes, then what event(s) does he view as necessary for this to happen?
Not sure, but it would probably involve virtualization, security for virtualization, and RH's plans for this in the server space.

Oh, there's plenty on virtualization!
There's practically a whole track of sessions on virtualization, so I already know they're putting a lot of attention on the subject. (The agenda's here, though presented in a slightly funky fashion: redhat.com schedule )
It's a topic to which CIO has been giving a lot of attention as well: Virtualization Drilldown
Anyhow, these are great suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

And the result is....
[QUOTE=ls354;598611By the way let us know when the interview is done.[/QUOTE]
As was intimated, there was LOTS of stuff about virtualization. In fact, that's most of what Paul Cormier wanted to talk about.
Virtualization and Linux: Red Hat Unveils New Vision
Red Hat announced a trio of virtualization initiatives today and staked out its own turf in the virtualization battle. Here's a look at what these technologies mean to you, starting with the new Embedded Linux hypervisor.
My discussion with Zemlin went in another direction:
IT Leaders Encouraged to Contribute Enterprise Code to Open-Source Projects
Linux luminaries explain how companies can benefit...including reducing the costs of further development and support...by releasing their in-house customizations to the open-source community.
Your suggestions did help me... even if you don't see a direct one-to-one relationship in these articles.

Interesting reads, I feel kinda sorry I did not pay more attention to your original question.

Thanks for posting back, Esther. It's encouraging to see such responsible behaviour from a journalist.
