yes I am thanks hun, plus I got that linux xp disc today, even after my vast experience with microsoft, I only have one thing to say about that program, SHITTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry mods if i am not allowed to say that, it's the only way to express my feelings towards it
I have re-built two ex-goverment computers today and neither of them would accept it, go figure, and the graphics etc are fine, but all i get is a black screen with both of them.
but anyway, I am loving ubuntu though, it's the best thing since sliced bread
so back to the drawing board, just have to make an ISO disc to get them going now, kids will only know linux, they don't need that other "rubbish"

Welcome to the forum gkiran, glad to have you
- 07-01-2008 #9Great! One more conversion to our ever growing list! I think you're right to commit yourself now to a proper install: I don't think Wubi is a good long-term solution. Also, don't forget to try lots of different distros. Linux is like music: you need to experience what there is out there before you can make a balanced judgement about what your preferences are.but anyway, I am loving ubuntu though, it's the best thing since sliced bread so back to the drawing board, just have to make an ISO disc to get them going now, kids will only know linux, they don't need that other "rubbish"Distribution: Archlinux
