Hello
Hello everyone,
I just installed slackware on my old desktop(celeron 450 mhz and 128mb of ram,I really need an upgrade),a friend suggested it to me and told me this was a great place to get help.Anyway I have this laptop (its a pentium 4 3.2GHz and 512mb of ram) and I would also like to install linux on it but i cant decide what distro So any suggestions??

Hi javilin93 and welcome to the forums. If you like Slackware then it would be a good choice for the laptop too. Any of the *buntus would be worthy of consideration as well.

Hi, javilin93!

I would have to agree with Dapper_Dan. Slack will do very well on a system with those specs. But if you want to kind of shop around, you can try a few out on a LivecD.

Hello and thanks for your replies,
After long consideration I decided to go with Ubuntu not that I have anything against Slackware.Its just that I want to give it a try(I have been hearing great things about it)
