| Yes, I agree totally with elija there. With Windows there's no choice - with Linux the choice is endless. You asked why I stopped using Debian, well the answer is that I just felt too much at home in Debian, it wasn't really pusing me anymore, so I wanted to give something else a whirl. Also, like elija, I don't like having really, really old software. I'm not into the bleeding edge to tell you the truth, but there are times when you want to try something that's a bit more modern than two years old! Finally, although Debian is faster than Ubuntu, I felt that speed could be improved. As for why I don't like Ubuntu, well elija's right: it's too bloated for me, and takes all the decisions for you. I don't like Suse because it's far too heavy: but if you like it then great: that's choice for you!
