    a very weird posting on my thread

    Hello all,

    I got the strangest note sent to me regarding a reply to my thread. In addition to being completely unrelated to my thread, it appears to be spam of a commercial nature. What is more, I looked for the sender (yoxi5236) in the members list and he does not seem to exist. Oh, and the reply does not actually show up on my thread, either!
    What do you think of this?

    Hi 1fastbullet,

    At Linuxforums, we try to take care of spam as it happens. I permanently banned yoxi5236 for multiple spamming. Your thread was one of the ones effected. By the time you got back here after receiving the notice, yoxi5236 was already banned and his spam posts deleted. That's why you couldn't find them. Sorry for the inconvenience...

    Yeah, what Dan said. It kinda threw me too, the first few times I encountered it. Rest assured, the mods here will make short work of it, once it's discovered.

    You are certainly on the ball, man. And it was no terrible inconvenience, really, just baffling.
