| Hey there. I'm Vivian, from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I've been using Linux for two years but never thought to actually join this forum, haha. sidux is my main distro, although I'm currently testing out the waters on openSUSE (as per a friend's recommendation). |

| Howdy Vivian. I'm just down in Jamaica Plain myself. Always thought what with MIT and all the colleges around here, there would be more Boston/Cambridge area folks on the forum.
Before Arch, I have brief but pleasant dalliance with Sidux. I quite liked it. Curious how you'll find OpenSuse - I personally can't stand it. |

| Most of the MIT kids who do run Linux are perfectly content to tweak it up to their liking without the aid of forums, I believe (I'm a student myself). In my dorm, we have hosted various install parties - we tried Arch once as well, and while I decided to return to sidux, several of my friends cannot stop raving about how amazing it is =) However, whenever we run into problems, our first thought is not "Oh, let's go see if there are fixes available on the Internet." Rather, it's, "Well, let's tweak this config file, and this one, and maybe try this. Cntrl+alt+backspace... did that work?" Haha~
openSUSE isn't completely up-to-par with my requirements (it still feels slow to me), but I figured I'd give it a chance before tossing it out. I'll let you all know how it goes =) |

| Ha, well, I do that myself. Or rather, I do look to the internet, especially the Arch Wiki, for help if I don't know something, but since almost every problem has already been addressed and answered somewhere, I rarely find the need to post a question anywhere. But they should still come and help out on the forums! |
