    Hello

Hello, just a quick post to introduce myself to the forum, may I say what a informative forum this is and thank you for allowing me to join.

Well here it goes, I started getting in to Linux once I realised there was software other than Windows, I will state that although I am studying towards my IT qualifications I am self taught with what I know already and have been working in the IT industry for just under two years now, started out as a Support Engineer and now IT Manager for a company, prior to my venture in to IT my background was Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Test and Debug).

I work predominantly with Windows operating systems, however I have two implementations of Debian at my workplace, prior to my arrival the IT infrastructure was Windows only.

So, there we go a brief intro about me and as for the original question for the thread I live near the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in England.
