    I need to find someone to talk to, and learn linux. I learn easier talking than reading, sort of a show me kind of guy. I live in Oregon, USA Is there anyone near the coast I can talk with?

    I would almost bet money that there is a local LUG, (Linux Users Group) in your area, these guys are your best best and you can usually meet some really awesome people this way too.
