Just joined this forum, I'm from Australia (Canberra), using Linux as a platform for my honours project in engineering. Really enjoying the change actually, its been good to think about computers in a different way!
Might be in Japan next year though, so maybe I'll be posting from Osaka or something in the future!

Hi, I'm from the Boston area, just installed Ubuntu Linux this past week on a computer I hadn't been using much so I can learn more about it. Just the installation was a learning process for me. (thanks those of you that gave me advice, never would have guessed it was my graphics card that was giving me trouble) So now I'm really looking foward to exploring Linux more.

Hey everyone,
I am from Alaska, going to school in Utah. I am programming in C for physics research, so I recently switched my operations to Ubuntu. I don't know very much about Linux though, so I might be relying on you guys a lot!

Linux Newbie
Hello....I'm from Pennsylvania, USA......I am very new to linux.....I am looking forward to learning everything I can about Linux......Why Linux???? Well I had an older laptop laying around....XP was killing it.....so I gave Xubuntu (after good advice from BigTomRodney)....laptop seems to be running well......along with my wireless connection.....Thank you for making me feel welcome.
