Oh, I missed the "tell a little about yourself" part. I'm an engineering student at MSU. I've been using linux on and off for about two years now. My first experience with linux was with Mandrake 9.2 on a pentium III with a dying hard drive. I'm finally trying linux on completely functional hardware and am no longer using Windows, so you may be seeing more of me.

Hi all!
I'm from Republic, Washington in the north central part of the state by the Canadian border, and I'm getting tired of Windows so I'm moving to Ubuntu on my laptop and eventually my desktop when I'm satisfied it does everything I want which is mostly banking and eBay sales and forums like this one. I've been using Firefox and Thunderbird for a couple years anyway so it won't be a big change I don't think and I like the idea of a virus free system.

See you all on the forums...
Bruce
