    In the Netherlands it is more like a student thing. Just because its free. Microsoft tries to compete at that level with low prices or even free licences, and it apparently pays of, at least, a little. Or it is another company offering those licences for low prices to students.

    It depends upon the flavor of Linux you are using and the subject of your question. If you look to your left you will notice different places of navigation. You may want to pick linux forums. Once there pick, your distro. Place a general question. If you question is specific to a certain venue....on the left you will find specific areas to narrow your help further in the GNU Linux Zone.

    Read the FAQ's.

    For questions of almost any kind, the coffee lounge is great. But remember keep it G rated.....we are a family here.
