Dan I am an old man also in S.C. I have been using Red Hat, Fedora Slackware (a long time ago). Now I am trying to harness Ubuntu (because it is so "wonderful" "easy". I have worked on several distros-Greasy Gibbon, Hungover Heron and Irresponsible Ibex alpha and I have had more trouble with them than all of Redmond products . Maybe i am just a lot dumber than than most.

Thanks for your note. I downloaded Fedora 9 iso burned it to CD and it installed flawlessly. The only complaint I have is my wireless internet is slow. I admit I am using Firefox in Windows XP to send this. Fedora about 1/10th as fast as Windows. I am using Linksys router and Adapter WUSB54Gv4 which are especially tuned to XP. No luck so far on ndiswrapper for Linux distros.

    Wet Wales

I am from wet Wales. Couldn't put sunny as that is a rarity here in the last two years. Trying to get a handle on Linux and I can't get it into my head how it works. But I will get there as I want o conquer it. First I have to conquer the problems of Nvidia graphic drivers. Lots of posts coming up from me I can assure you. Put me as a novices novice. Yep Lumpen proletariat. Marx will be proud of me

Trying to put 4 computers together for the village photoclub, 2 with Xubuntu (very old machines) and two with Ubuntu.
