Any Verizon Wireless broadband users? (Help, please.)

My workload has reached the point where my days are stretching sometimes to 15 & 16 hours. That is also spread across a 3-state area (FL, GA, AL) so I'm often not close to home when I want to check on a stock price, look up some obscure vendor info, check email, etc. (I got lucky this morning) My Verizon data signal seems to be pretty strong in the areas that I service, so I'm thinking about matching mobile broadband with a lappie. Of course, I want to do this using linux.

Any Verizon customers here with experience doing this? I would like to avoid dropping funds for options that don't work. Thanks.

qv
