Open source street map software?
I'm trying to find a US street map software for linux. Something that will fit on a cd/dvd-r , that can be used to look up & plot routes. The requirements are that it is fairly up-to-date, thorough, and doesn't require a net connection to function. Something with GPS functionality would be great.
RoadMap is the closest I've found thus far. Have I missed the one great open source alternative here?
