    ok i have finally settled for one

    hey guys,
    have been trying out several different distro's and finally settled for one

    puppy 4.0
    pretty good, very user friendly even the kids are awesome on it
    so will keep you posted on how it goes and if all else fails hehe will keep looking
    but as far as that linux xp is concerned i am gonna use it as a clay pidgeon

    I have used Puppy 4 a bit (installed it on a usb stick) and it truly amazing. If you get compiz to work, please post instructions so that we enable it as well.

    Compiz is a screen decorator (not the correct technical word!) that allows you to do this -- YouTube - Linux Ubuntu 7.04 + Compiz (Extra)

    Very cool, very slick, but a lot of people argue that it's just eye-candy. I disagree, but then I love eye-candy
