Greetings from a very new Ubantu user
I bought a new computer that came with the new Windows Vista Home Premium and have had nothing but trouble. I tried Ubantu 6.06 a couple of years ago but never really got into it then just recently had the chance to get 8.04. I installed it as dual-boot and am learning as I go. I like the lay out and it seems to run better than any windows program I have used yet, however until I get everything going I won't really know for sure. I had to dig an old external modem out of storage since it does not talk to the internal Win Modem but have not hooked that up yet, later today I hope.
If everything works like I hope it is going to I will be dumping the Vista Crap and will be going straight Linux. Time will tell.
