    Fred from Texas

This is Fred: I presently use Win XP - Linux Freespire - PClinuxOS and others. I live in Arlington, Texas. I am a retired teacher among other things. My computer experience began with punch cards and has proceeded from there for the last 38 years. I really like Linux and have discovered several really good destros that I like. My major problem has been getting it to run a printer. Everything else seams to be quite straight forward. I am however an old DOSS users that used to say real men/women use only DOSS. There is much new knowledge to be acquired here. Thanks to the SYSOP running this thing.

    Hi Fred,

I used to do support for an educational solution provider based near Coit Rd and 'the loop'. Spent quite a few days onsite in schools from D/FW to SA. Who knows, we may even have met.

Sounds like with your aptitude & background you'll fit in here quite well. Welcome to Linuxforums. Hope you stick around.
