[SOLVED] Problem accessing LFO
Are there any other Comcast users here having difficulty accessing LFO with their Comcast account? I'm posting this from my Blackberry, which is having no problem hitting the site, but my cable-fed desktop gets a 'Host not found' every time I point it at LFO.
Modem, OS, firewall, etc. are fine. Problem has to lie with ISP or internet pipes. I doubt it's the latter.

How's your DNS? What DNS are you using? Try accessing it through the IP - it's currently 67.15.52.42.
If you get through with that consider switching to another DNS provider. I find OpenDNS quite good.

I have Comcast, and I couldn't connect. I obtained the IP address
by doing an nslookup to an opendns server, but couldn't get
the forum with the ip address. I got an apache greeting page.
If the server houses more than one domain, the ip address isn't enough.
Anyway I put the opendns nameserver in my resolv.conf, so now I
can connect. I don't know how long Comcast will take to fix their nameservers. There is a major attack against unpatched name servers
right now, in case some were unaware.

Problem solved. At least until the next exploit. And I got my awareness raised in the process.
Comcast appears to have addressed the recent DNS problem, but I'm still considering OpenDNS. Thanks again, guys, for doing what you do so well.
Peace.
