Conspiracy theory.... Microsoft vs Yahoo
Just something I was thinking of the other day while chatting to some friends on Yahoo messenger... everyone with a windows machine was constantly dropping out. It has happened a number of times, with different people over the last few months; only windows users are affected though...
So, do you think ms could be sabotaging yahoo to get them to sell?

Of course not. Everybody knows it's the other way around: Yahoo harasses Windows users.

What were the other machines? And what clients were they using. I'm not sure that the other clients even report their operating system, or at least report them correctly.

While I hold Microsoft far from harmless in most matters, I don't think they're the responsible party here. The last time I checked the stats, IM w
as the mechanism of choice for distributing malware.
I think in this case, if MS is guilty of anything, it's of releasing insecure operating systems.
Also... though I can't verify it through personal experience, I've been told that script kiddies like to hang out on IM, where their exploits are more likely to impress a less-informed demographic.
