    Slackware's brave new logo

It's fresh, new, and a maybe even bit brave:

It's playfulness I think is a bit distracting, but I also find the new logo grows on you. And it almost overshadows the news that KDE4.1 is now ready for Slackware-current

For me, the jury is still out on this one. It looks ok, but at the moment, I still prefer the old one even though it was a bit bland.

I'm not a huge fan of it. I understand it's cool in that it reads the same right-side-up and up-side-down but those things are only cool when they're simple. This is too cluttered and difficult to read for my tastes. Then again, that's just my opinion and I wasn't even a huge fan of the old Slackware logo to tell you the truth.

I'm not fond of it, but I won't refuse to run Slackware because of it.

I agree with that sentiment, but I'm sure if I expressed this opinion on the Slackware forums I'd get accused of being "afraid of new things." Much like my distaste for KDE 4.1. Then again, I don't use Slackware, so I suppose it really doesn't affect me.

It is so bad that it makes the London 2012 logo look good!

OK, it's not really that bad but it's close

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

    Ouch...

I'll refine my statement. It's interesting.... but it still looks like it's trying too hard to be cool... something you are not if you use slackware.
