    Error in SQUID configuration

I installed Linux Enterprise 5 in one Pc and want to configure squid proxy server which is already installed with enterprise 5

I want to make a internet proxy server using this squid so I installed one additional LAN card in the pc so I have 2 LAN card installed and configured and I test internet on same pc it's running (using proxy connection which is already configured in RED HAT 9)
Now my problem is when I configured squid.conf file means add
ip address for e.g. 10.1.37.6 and name with acl it creates an error at the time of restarting squid "SQUID FAILED"

    how can I configured Squid.conf ?
I have ready squid.conf in RED HAT LINUX 9 which is in use . Can I copy into Enterprise ?
Other than squid.conf location any setting is required ?
    please guide me

    Thanks
