    Back in the '80

When I was a teenager Back in the '80 I started with computers.
On the C=64 going from basic to assembler, afterwards on an XT in Turbo pascal and modula2. Later even C++, VB4, VB6 and VB.NET.

But mostly I had some nostalgy about the time when (DOS) computers didn't crash every so often.

So I took a Linux course some 3 years ago and learned that there are stable OS's. Since then I have been running Mandrake, later Mandriva at home and never had to push the power button other than to power it on .

Now I moved over to a company where I am learning Oracle on a Linux environment (while being a Ms SQL DBA).

So I have opportunities enough to compare the Linux/Microsoft OS's and also the Oracle/Ms SQL environments.

    Greetings,
    Vramby

    Welcome to the forum!

I hope as a fellow C64 user you've tried Vice64? It should be available in your repos. Nostalgia!
