The world on its head?
Well I've not been around much recently. Two new jobs - the first three months ago and the current one at the beginning of last week - have seen me thoroughly entrenched in Windows software development, and as a result, I've not been able to come here quite so much. My visits have been limited to browsing the coffee lounge and chipping in with the odd pointless riposte, witty comment or whatever.
But I've been away for a couple of weeks, and on my return there's hardly any new threads in the coffee lounge! It's all 'hello I'm a newbe' or 'bonjour to the Linux world', etc.
May I just say that I find this refreshing. Either the whole world has bought and Eee/One/webnote or whatever, or there is a renewed exodus from the clutches of the commercial operating system world because people are finding the latest release is utter junk... Or maybe it's a bit of both
Welcome to all our new friends. Remember that you don't stay new for long, experience is quickly earned. I always learned more by trying to answer the questions of others than I ever did by asking them.Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/
