We'd be happy to tell you what Linux is "about," but we're going to need a more specific question than that. For some boilerplate intro to Linux Q&A, you might try this thread:

Which netbook is it? I bought an eeePC and it is great! I managed to connect using wifi and 3g in the first attempt.

Post to ask us any questions, such as internet connection or installing programs. I am sure you 'll find it extremely easy as everybody, once you connect to the internet and install 1 program. In a world without walls and fences, who needs windows and gates?

Acer Aspire One is the next netbook i am going to buy.
It offers the same as eeePc, but costs 150 euros than eeePc in Greece!!
Greek stores just charge as much as they want...In a world without walls and fences, who needs windows and gates?

Hi! It's nice to see another woman here. This forum is a bit topheavy with blokes. Did you notice how they all immediately started discussing your hardware? Typical!
Do I gather from your third sentence that you're a "senior citizen" like me? If so, you might like to read my thing about Linux for senior Citizens"I'm just a little old lady; don't try to dazzle me with jargon!"
